lol that is funny…. well, I’m a healthy nut and I don’t eat pork bacon/sausage. We use turkey bacon and there are no fat drippings. :)

Oops. I clicked Yes and I'm NOT Southern. Heaven forbid. I used bacon grease tonight. In fact, it was Pop's bacon grease (driven all the way from four hours out of town to our house). I don't cook regular bacon that often, so I have the inlaws save me a jar now and then! That's pretty desperate, eh? Or maybe that's just SOUTHERN. :) Who can cook green beans without bacon grease? now that I voted Yes, and I'm not southern, I'd like to qualify my answer. As of late, I don't do this anymore since I'm trying to lose weight and keep my husband from having a heart attack. I did live in the South for many years, but I still don't consider myself Southern. I would wither and blow away without bacon. We eat it a lot. A lot, a lot. And I don’t feel bad. We are careful in so many other ways I feel no guilt in the bacon department. As far as the dripping go… you wouldn’t want to waste them!! ;)

I use to buy bacon in 5 pound quantities from the co-op when I lived in Vermont – I sure miss that!

Yes! Especially for company…not so much every day. And I’m not southern nor am I from a southern home, but I grew up on it. My grandparents are Kentuckians, does that count as southern?
