The Simple Woman’s Daybook

by Dawn on August 4, 2008

in a day in the life, featured, photography

I’ve seen this meme at the Dixons (Jacque and Jocelyn) and thought it was sweet and simple.

FOR TODAY, August 4, 2008…

Outside My Window…bikes in driveway, gentle breeze.

I am thinking…what to make for supper (even though it’s already 6 p.m. – oops).

I am thankful for…getting my van back from the body shop today.

From the kitchen…ummm, I think I already covered that nothing is going on in the kitchen. Anyone up for burgers and dogs on the grill (that’s called putting the burden on dad)?

I am wearing…red and white checked capris and white shirt, part of my plan to wear every piece of summer clothing I own this summer or give it away.

I am creating…a blog header.

I am going…to need more sweet tea. Soon.

I am reading…anything I can get my hands on by Scott Kelby; Persuasion (barely started).

I am hoping…that I’m not an embarrassment to the Simple Woman’s Daybook meme. Just keeping it real, folks.

I am hearing…my three-year-old daughter sing to her baby doll. I so totally adore this child.

Around the house…oldest son here while in the process of moving out of his apartment and relocating to start new college in three weeks. He’s like a rock star when he’s here; same excitement level as the British Invasion.

One of my favorite things…my Nikon. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Use free Six Flags tickets before they expire; band camp; baby shower at church.

Here is picture thought I am sharing…

What’s not to love and adore about your sweet girl?? She is just too much.

I like it when people keep it real so this was a really fun post for me to read! I hope you got some sweet tea so you could keep humming along :)

Hello,
I’m happy to meet you. I didn’t see anything to be embarrased about in your answers. I liked the part about the babydoll and singing. That is just so precious. Also, having the rock star home temporarily.
Have a blessed week

What do you have to be embarrased about? I loved “hearing” about your day. You are doing much better in the supper department than I am. It is 7:44 and I still don’t have anything. MAJOR OOPS! Anyone up for take-out?

My love always-Trina
