Oh, my, that is precious. I love the softness of this image. And the impurity of the sand gives it a visual interest that all-white sand wouldn’t have had (even if it isn’t as fun to play in).

I gotta concur. And doing it in B&W was the masterstroke. It underscores the simplicity in the image and in the theme.

The lighting creates the interest here. Love how the shadows focus in on the hands and the scooping action.

I love that you used a black and white to share this, it gives it more depth than color would have! I too like that there are other things in the sand adding details that are eye catching!
