Weekly Verse

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The Simple Woman’s Daybook: August 25, 2008

August 25, 2008

FOR TODAY, August 25, 2008 . . .

Outside My Window . . . overcast and dreary. I tried to take a walk, but only made it halfway up the street; I ran home because it started to rain.  At least it isn’t so hot.

I am thinking . . . about how much back-to-school planning I hope to accomplish today.

I am thankful for . . . the wonderful meeting we had at church this weekend.

From the kitchen . . . mac ‘n’ cheese for lunch, maybe pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken for supper.

I am wearing . . . the same comfy cotton shorts and shirt that I was going to wear walking.  We have nowhere to go today, so I’m keeping it casual.

I am creating . . . our school calendar.

I am going . . . to Photoshop World next week!

I am reading . . . Photoshop User magazines and still reading Persuasion.

I am hoping . . . that my oldest son settles into life at his new college and has a wonderfully productive year.  He just left yesterday.

I am hearing . . . the click of mouse and keyboard from my 13yos playing a computer game.

Around the house . . . calm morning after whirlwind of company and 3-day church meeting this weekend.  Cross country practice was rained out, so everyone got to sleep in a bit.

One of my favorite things . . . the table and umbrella on our back deck.  It’s just such a peaceful place to sit.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: finish school planning and make sure we have everything we need.  I hope to be ready to start by the end of the week.  If the weather isn’t bad, I would like to organize a pool party for two of my kids whose birthdays I’ll miss when I’m gone next week.

Here is picture thought I am sharing . . . Enjoy life.  And take lots of pictures.
