Mobistories.com offers virtual books for children ages 1-10. These delightful books are downloaded to your computer using the format of your choice: wmv (Windows Media Player) for a PC; mov for a Mac (QuickTime Player); m4v for iPhone or iTouch, or iPod Classic or Nano; or mp3 for an audio file.
We downloaded Ella Elephant, which introduces musical instruments and how to scat like Ella Fitzgerald; Miles the Crocodile, which teaches colors with a swingin’ jazz soundtrack; and The Magic Rocket, the story of a boy who rescues his dog, who has been kidnapped by an alien.
My three- and five-year-old daughters snuggled up in my lap and their seven-year-old brother and eight-year-old sister stood on either side as we viewed the books this morning. The kids have obviously inherited my love of jazz, as there was much wiggling and beating on the desktop. I would say Miles the Crocodile is our favorite.
The folks at Mobistories.com realize that if you and your children try these books, you’ll be hooked, because they are offering $10 worth of free virtual books to each and every one of you!
