Welcome to day 5 of “9 Days of NAPP”! Today I’m going to talk about the NAPP members-only website, a hub connecting members to the wonderful things available to NAPP members. (You can’t get in until you’ve joined; here’s my referral link for membership.)

Discounts for Members
I was surprised when I discovered that most NAPP members consider the member discounts to be the most important aspect of their membership. Current discounts include: 15% discount from Mimobot (doggone it, I’m dying for one of these designer flash drives! I’m not sure which is my favorite, but I truly love the Golden Panda); free shipping from B&H Photo; iStockphoto; 10% discount at Artistic Photo Canvas; $25 off on upgrade or $50 off of full version of Corel Painter 11; $100 off of Plug-In Suite 4 or 10% off of any other product from onOne Software; 10% off of Alien Skin plugin titles.
Here’s a biggie: NAPP members now have until May 31, 2009, to take advantage of a 20% product discount from Adobe at the Adobe Online Store. You can save $139 on Adobe Photoshop CS4, $359 on the Adobe Design Premium, and $499 on the Master Collection. This is a serious discount if you’re in the market for any of this software, but remember that the offer is time-sensitive.
NAPP members also receive discounts to KelbyTraining LIVE one-day seminar tours, KelbyTraining online, educational books and DVDs, and Photoshop World.

Member Forums

Portfolios
NAPP members can upload 24 images to their personal portfolios, which are also viewable for non-members. If you’re looking for a little inspiration, this is the place to find it.
Other site features include links to download articles from Photoshop User magazine and a weekly NAPP update video from Executive Director Larry Becker (what a nice guy!).

there has not been a year yet that has not paid for itself with the money I have saved from vendors on the NAPP member website. The $99 / yr that I pay for membership usually comes back to me double or triple in savings. If you purchase any camera or photoshop related stuff — your NAPP membership will surely pay for itself!!
