hebrewnationalSpring is here, and with it comes park and picnic season! I’m excited to partner with Hebrew National to host the “Picnic with a Purpose” for Atlanta on Saturday, May 9, an afternoon of quality family time, fun, games, prizes, and a picnic featuring grilled Hebrew National hot dogs.

Not only will we be enjoying good food and fellowship, but also giving something back to our community. Picnic attendees will bring items for donation to Abba House, a local organization that provides a safe place where addicted, abused, or otherwise broken women can find a new life.

Children also can live with their mothers at Abba House. We hope some can attend our picnic! As a craft project, we will create a painting as a gift to the children of Abba House.

Cooper from The MotherHood will be here with us! There is a special circle at The MotherHood for “Picnics with a Purpose” where we’ll be feeding photos, text, audio recording, and video. Watch for additional blog posts, as well as updates via Twitter and Facebook.

Later, you will be able to download PDF files with the menus, service projects, and details for all eight Hebrew National sponsored events, held in Atlanta, Detroit, New England, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Richmond, and Tampa. I hope you find ideas and inspiration for hosting a picnic of your own this summer. Don’t forget the Hebrew National hot dogs! For the past few years they’ve been the only ones I buy for our family.

[If you are an Atlanta-area blogger and would like to attend, please shoot me a note via the “Contact’ link in the navigation bar just under my blog header.]
