This was one of the first images captured of the new year, my daughter playing with a baby doll in the friends’ home where we stayed on New Year’s Eve. Although you can’t see her face, something about this just sums up girlhood to me: the pink and purple, the doll, the sweet little arms and hands.

It’s amazing how ingrained this girlyness is from the start. Love it! My wee is already rocking babes to sleep, patting them nigh-nigh and singing sweet lullabies in her high pitched hummy-like voice to her babes, at 16 months old. God sure made ‘em fun didn’t He?!
