This is a first for me in 4 years and 960+ posts of blogging: composing a post, including photos, from my phone in the car.
This is Day 2 of our family road trip to Dallas for our second son’s freshman year of college. Our first night was spent in Jackson, MS, with family that we don’t see nearly often enough. My kids bonded with long-distance cousins. I would love to upload the videos of them playing the new “Just Dance” Wii game, but that’s beyond my capabilities while cruising along I-20. :)
Speaking of videos, I’m recording a selection of random trip craziness to send to my son after he gets settled at school, memories of what’s proving to be a fun but eventful journey.
A sample conversation:
Me: There’s a large body of water ahead.
8yos: There’s a bucket of water ahead?
Me: Body.
8yos: Guys! There’s a bucket of bodies ahead!
You can’t make this stuff up. :)

What a great conversation, I love it! I can’t wait to see the video of them playing “Just Dance” I’ve hear it’s great. Our oldest daughter played it at a friends house and insisted that we must buy it. Have a great trip!!
