Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. ~Proverbs 13:12

Our church sold our building early last year, bought a piece of land, and began the process of construction. We’ve moved from a location more central to Atlanta (but where none of our membership live) to the suburbs. The drive for our family is cut in half!

The building should be ready for services some time in October. The waiting and watching are drawing to an end. The results are worth it.

Several of us drove to the building today after services—this new home draws us each week like a magnet—and sang Amazing Grace in the sanctuary, whose walls and ceiling are now sheet-rocked.

We sing the good old hymns, a capella. Our temporary locations, an office complex and a private school cafeteria, weren’t designed with acoustics in mind.

It sounded like angels joined with us today, in this room that my heart tells me will embody the word sanctuary in more ways than one.

If God is in the details, then surely He dwells here already, waiting for us to join Him. Soon.
