31 Days of Encouragement - Day 17

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
~1 Corinthians 15:33

31 Days of EncouragementThis verse is relevant to all of us, but especially to parents. Even if your children are strong in their faith, don’t take chances or trust luck when guarding their hearts or character. Even though we are told to be salt and shine our lights, we are also warned that bad company corrupts.

Keep good company. I love it that my best friends support my marriage and my faith, and will offer an honest and Biblically-based opinion when I need advice.

Are you guarding yours and your children’s hearts from bad company?

Want to share your own day of encouragement?

Some of you have mentioned an interest in posting a day of encouragement on your own blog. Just create a post—you’re welcome to use the format I’ve done here, photography and scripture—and I’ll put up a linky this Thursday so we can share. Are you in?
