Remember on Day 12 when I told you how much I love photographing our county’s Veterans’ Day celebration? This shot is from another year’s event and shows one of my favorite parts: the field of flags. I decided to have fun with this photo and give it some extra punch.

Day 21 - Before

Day 21 - After

The Edits:

  1. Apply Matt Kloskowski’s 300 Look Lightroom preset – strong strength: for Lightroom 4 or for Lightroom 2 or 3 (I appreciate Matt for slowly updating his presets for LR4.)
  2. Use a combination of the Spot Removal Tool in Lightroom and whatever I used in Photoshop (probably some combination of the Spot Healing Brush Tool, Healing Brush Tool, and Patch Tool) to remove the cell tower or whatever that big distracting thing is in the background.

A cloudless blue sky may be a sign of good weather, but clouds make more dramatic images, don’t they?
